Model 6000 Laser Series
Making Things Better.
The Model 6000 Lasers are Modular, High Power, Convertible Lasers. They are very versatile because they can be configured in many ways, with low cost to the user. This leaves your options open for long pulses, Q-Switching, High or Low Repetition Rates, Natural Convection or Water Cooling, Oscillator-Amplifier Designs, and Use of Various Laser mediums. The available Laser mediums include, but are not limited to, Ruby, Nd:YAG, Nd:GLASS, Nd:YLF, TIS, Dye Liquids, and Alexandrite.
Model 6000 electronics allow external triggering and synchronization of instruments or equipment such as oscilloscopes and fast PIN photodetectors. The basic design has a dual linear flashlamp pump in a closed-coupled configuration, with a stable resonator. The result is a High Quality Laser Beam with a TEMoo spatial mode.
Flashlamp Reliability is an outstanding feature with these units. The flashlamp types that are used have remained the same for over twenty years, and therefore, have well established characteristics. Data collected from numerous experiments indicate the operation of these lamps remains consistent for more than 105 discharges. Benchmark testing of the lamps has revealed no substantial decrease in output or damage to the lamps after thousands upon thousands of discharges.
